Sofie Valverde is from Grafton and is majoring in Creative Technologies.
I wanted to further push my design experience with my dress for this show. I chose to use new materials I’m less familiar with and took this as a way to get more familiar with working with a model and their own unique measurements.
My design is is a leather and jean dress. I wanted to embrace the Industrial theme by using materials that were more durable than common fabrics. I have reused old jean shorts to hint at the word of fast fashion but also reusing what you have to make something new.
